Every performance by Joël Lavoie is an invitation to travel through the stories, emotions, and sounds that have shaped his artistic journey. Whether performing solo, as a trio, or with an orchestra, Joël delivers engaging performances where folk, blues, roots, rock, and world music come together in a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Beyond his original repertoire, Joël also presents several themed shows that highlight his passion for guitar, songwriting, and some of the greatest songwriters. Strings Without Borders celebrates the richness of string instruments through stories and inspired interpretations. Joël Sings Cabrel pays tribute to one of the great singer-songwriters of the Francophone world with sensitivity and respect. Finally, Folk-Rock Revolution Songbook revisits iconic works by artists such as Paul Simon, Bert Jansch, Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois, Daniel Rivard, Neil Young, and many others, through personal arrangements that carry Joël’s distinctive musical signature.
For blues-rock fans, Joël is also a member of V CHORD, an energetic band that puts its own spin on classic hits and grooves inspired by contemporary blues.

With more than 20 years of experience working with young musicians, Joël Lavoie offers a lively and interactive school performance where songs, stories, humour, and guitar virtuosity come together. As a singer-songwriter and instructor, he shares his passion for music and creativity with students in a welcoming, authentic, and accessible environment.
