The initial idea for this song came to me while I was sitting around a campfire with friends and loved ones. Just as I was about to put my guitar away, someone called out, “Play us one last song!”

The song practically wrote itself.

Having grown up on a farm in northern Alberta, near Peace River, nature and solitude have had a profound influence on my songwriting. To me, this song is about letting go of the things we cannot change and starting over.
